Chania

Getting to Chania is easy as it has its own airport and once there you can enjoy what the beautiful town known as Little Venice, once the capital of Crete, offers in style and sophistication as well as charm and character.

The main focal point of Chania is its quaint Venetian style harbour fringed by waterside restaurants and cafe bars with colourful parasols leading onto tiny cobbled streets lined with tall pastel painted houses.

There are some wonderful places to explore in Chania including 'Cobblers Alley' renowned for its leatherware, a colourful market, historical places of interest as well as the old memorial British war museum.

To the west of Chania, long sandy beaches and small shingle coves make up the coastline and close by is one of the longest gorges in Europe 'Samaria Gorge' an 18 kilometre stretch of natural beauty. But the entertainment doesn't stop there, you will also find exciting nightlife too from typical Cretan tavernas to lively bars, cosmopolitan cafes, and lots of discos as Chania has some of the best and most varied nightlife on the island.
