Crete for Life is a charitable organization based in Greece. Money raised brings children who are victims of war, chemical and natural disasters, on holiday to the island of Crete, where they hope to restore their health and their spirit.
After the holiday, they continue helping these children back in their home country, aiming to improve their quality of life and their future prospects.

Every year many thousands of tourists walk down the Samaria Gorge and catch the ferry at the seaward end, giving very little thought to the village of Agia Roumeli. STIGMES is a regional magazine published every two months in the island of Crete. Sfakia-Crete is an huge site with too many interesting items to mention but one a section of readers own stories regarding the island of Crete, is a must for the first time traveller. A site mostly about Sfakia and the southern parts of the island and well worth a visit, I have personally bookmarked it.


This is an enormous source of information for the tourist of all things Greek. If you can't find it here, then it isn't on the internet - resorts, maps, hotels, flights, car hire - it's got everything.
