Malia Sitting on the coast about halfway between Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos, Malia offers a very good beach holiday together with nights to enjoy. After dark Malia bursts into life and promises non-stop action til dawn, which makes it the top holiday destination amongst the young crowds looking for really wild times. But for those that think this is a little hectic, old Malia village has a much slower pace. Here you will find traditional tavernas, ouzerias and cafes where the locals prefer to hangout.
